The agreement
These terms cover the Main Character iPhone app and maincharacterstories.app, operated by El Sueno LLC. By using the service you agree to them and to our privacy policy. You must be an adult who can legally enter this agreement. Keep your account secure.
The service
Main Character makes short vertical romance episodes starring an AI-generated likeness of you and fictional characters. Episodes are AI-generated fiction and can contain visual glitches, likeness variation or story errors. Your first three episodes are free. Scheduled episodes depend on rendering capacity and can occasionally be late.
Your likeness
Submit only your own face, through the app's camera, and don't try to get around the liveness check. You let us process your selfies and portrait only as needed to make, check, store and deliver your episodes. Never submit someone else's face or a minor's.
No real people
Love interests and other characters are invented from taps. Don't try to recreate a real person, impersonate anyone, make intimate imagery of anyone without consent, or pass generated episodes off as real footage. If a character happens to resemble someone real, report it in the app.
Content rules
Scenes stay within the 90210 line: at most a kiss, a hand at the back of a neck, or a press against a wall or desk, fully clothed, followed by an interruption. No undressing, no skin below the collarbone, no two people in bed, no explicit or exploitative content. Every character must read as 25 or older. We may block, replace or remove anything that crosses these lines.
Plans and credits
After your free episodes, a paid plan keeps your serial going. Credits are spent on extras such as watching the next episode now, redoing an episode or a higher render quality, and the cost is shown before you confirm. Credits are service units, not money: they can't be cashed out or transferred. Prices, taxes, what's included, renewal terms and any credit expiry are shown before you pay.
Plans renew until you cancel. Cancel where you subscribed: in your Apple account for App Store purchases, or through the billing link in your receipt for web purchases. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Refunds follow the rules of the store you bought through and the consumer law where you live, which these terms never override. If a purchase or render goes wrong, contact support in the app with the receipt or episode reference.
Ownership
You keep whatever rights you have in your face and your own material, and you give us a limited licence to process them to run the service. We own the app, its design, our brand and the house serials. You may watch and share your own episodes for personal, lawful use, making clear they are AI-generated when that could matter. Don't resell the service or scrape its content.
Fair use
Don't harass anyone, break the law, attack the service, access other accounts or get around safety or credit limits. We may limit or suspend accounts that do. You can contest a decision through support.
Liability
We work hard to keep the service running, but it is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted service or perfect likeness. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited or removes your consumer rights.
Changes and ending
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We will post changes to these terms with a new effective date and tell you in the app about material changes.
